LOQR’s 2022 Wrap Up: a Year in Review

With 2022 coming to an end, it’s time to look back on all the important events that defined LOQR’s journey throughout the year. It has been an impactful and challenging year for LOQR. 

In 2022, growth, security, improvement and team’s work were always at center stage, in order to deliver the best digital journeys to all our clients and unlock their digital potential.  

Let’s take a look at some of LOQR’s major events that happened during this last unforgettable year, which marks a high growth point for LOQR! 

Platform Improvements 

Over 2022, we have made significant improvements to the LOQR’s platform. Several developments were implemented, in order to leverage security, compliance, and overall usability. The addition of new international ID Documents, the possibility for users to switch devices during the completion of a journey and the 4-Eyes check feature were just some of the improvements added to our platform.  

LOQR’s Rebranding Process 

In 2022, LOQR went through a major rebrand: a new logo, new color palette and new website became part of our identity. However, our values remained the same, as well as our mission to accelerate a seamless transition to a secure digital world as a key to inclusive growth.


In June, LOQR took over Amsterdam with an exciting presence at Money20/20, one of the biggest events for fintech startups, banking, and investors in Europe. This was a great opportunity to share all about our Journey-as-a-Service platform and how we can unlock the digital lives of several institutions. 

Richard da Silva Becomes VP of Sales 

During 2022, Richard da Silva joined LOQR as VP of Sales, in order to reinforce the internationalisation strategy and strengthen the commercial area. 

Richard has a vast experience in this field, as well as in the IT and banking sectors, cybersecurity and fraud detection, across several geographies. With his role at LOQR, he is “looking forward to leading the corporate team to strengthen LOQR’s positioning as a recognised brand and company in the banking sector.”  


Seeing LOQR’s efforts recognised internationally is always a moment of pride, which is why we are thankful for all the recognitions and awards attributed to us throughout the year. 

Still in this year, LOQR won the Select USA Fintech Pitching Session and was one of the 22 winners in the Tech Tour Deep Tech 2022. To both entities, we want to say thank you for believing in our work. 

New Partnerships 

LOQR’s partnerships are one of the most important pillars of our business activity. Our partners help us deliver the best services to our clients, in a relationship of mutual benefits. In 2022, MO Technologies, Nearsoft and Asseco became LOQR’s partners, with the goal to combine expertise areas and provide the best digital solutions to all the clients who seek our services. 

Our Team Kept Growing 

During 2022, we doubled our team! Right now, LOQR is made up of more than 80 people who work every day to bring our clients the best digital solutions. 

What’s to come in 2023? 

The new year is just beginning, but we are already working to make this the best year for LOQR yet. With eyes on internationalisation, new business models and continuous platform improvements, we continue to work hard to deliver the best digital tools to our clients, unlocking their digital potential.
